Sleepytime Storyteller — A Major Update
Sleepytime Storyteller has grown considerably. What began as a simple way to create personalized bedtime stories has evolved into a much more flexible storytelling experience, with greater control over the kind of story you create and how the finished story looks and sounds.
The latest version introduces Bedtime and Anytime story modes, allowing stories to range from quiet, relaxing tales for the end of the day to adventures, mysteries, comedy, science fiction and other stories designed to be enjoyed at any time.
Story creation has also been substantially improved. A new story-planning system gives each story its own structure, conflict, solution, characters, setting and ending. This helps produce stories that feel genuinely different from one another rather than following the same basic formula. Stories can also remember important characters, settings and events, making it possible to build continuing adventures and story series.
There are now more ways to personalize a story. You can choose the child's age group, story type, mood and length, select from a variety of artwork styles or add your own, choose a storyteller voice, provide a description for the illustrations, and even supply your own story idea or storyline.
The illustration system has been improved to create artwork that more closely reflects the selected visual style while maintaining the characters and world of the story from scene to scene.
Narration and subtitles have received major improvements as well. Stories are narrated using natural AI voices, with improved synchronization between the spoken story and on-screen subtitles. The audio system can detect and repair missing narration before the final video is produced, resulting in more reliable finished stories.
Sleepytime Storyteller can turn the completed story into an illustrated video with narration, subtitles and gentle movement between scenes. Videos can be created in Landscape, Portrait or Square formats, making them suitable for televisions, phones and other screens.
We've also added sample stories and videos, making it easier to explore what Sleepytime Storyteller can create before making a story of your own.
Behind the scenes, we've made extensive improvements to story generation, artwork creation, narration, subtitle synchronization, video generation, recovery and resume support, and overall reliability.
And we're not finished. Sleepytime Storyteller will continue to evolve with new storytelling possibilities, improved artwork and narration, and more ways to make every story your own.
